Questions & Answers on China Visa Application Procedure and Fee
Asked by Richard Headley from AUSTRALIA | Aug. 16, 2023 22:10Reply
Destination details within China
I'm an Australian citizen and I'm currently completing my Chinese tourist visa. I'm due to fly to Beijing on 24 or 28 August. We are due to return to Australia on 12 September, 2023.
From Beijing, my Chinese girlfriend and I will be visiting, Harbin, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. However, at this stage I don't have any addresses & dates where we will be staying in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces as it all depends how long we stay in Beijing and Harbin. Can you advise what I should put on my Visa application as to Section 6.1 J . Thank you.

Online Visa application
I have had a digital photo taken at the post office but it won't let me upload it onto the online form. The photo met all requirements at the post office but now says pixel rating is too low and the background is not fully white. I have had the photo taken a second time and still can't upload it. What can I do as I can't move to the next step until I upload my photo?

You may take a new picture based on the requirements and upload it again. There is no other better way. Good luck to you!

I cannot access the Visa Application online process from Melbourne - error message 405
Good morning,
I am trying to apply for visa from Melbourne and each time I click on CVASC weblink I get a "405" error message which doesn't allow me to proceed.
I have tried several ways through different computers and my phone but same error message each time.
I tried using Auckland as my application point and that Visa application site successfully opened.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you

I had the same issue - it is to do with your internet firewall - if you are can disable it, it will allow you to then access the online visa application.

Visa Validity
Can you advise from what date is the China Visa valid. Ie. is the visa granted from the date it is processed or from the date of the propsed travel. What if my plans change and i have to fly out at later date as what was originally planned?

Generally, it is valid from the date of issuing. So it is suggested to apply for a visa 1 month in advance and no more than 3 months.

Usually, the duration of stay is at most 30 days and there is no problem if you change the plan but leaving China before the end of 30 days.
