Notice of Change of Payment

The consular section does not accept cash for payment. After you get the Pick-Up Form at the consular section, please go to any branch of Millennium Bank to pay for the required fees and take the Deposit Receipt. At the specified time, please collect your visa by showing the Deposit Receipt and Pick-Up Form to consular officials.

2. Expedited Service Fee per Person
The regular processing time is 4 working days. For urgent cases, the expedited service is available. Moreover, additional fees will be paid.

USA citizen applying for a tourist visa in Lisbon Portugal

I am a resident of the USA. I will be in Lisbon for a vacation, and I am planning to process a Chinese tourist visa there instead of using a visa agency in the USA. Is this possible in Lisbon's Chinese Embassy/Consulate right now?

Well, you can have a try but generally the rejection rate would be high if applying in a third country.

Hello, I know you can't apply for visa at the moment, but do you know when the Chinese embassy in Lisbon will be re opening?

Louis, you should keep close attention on the website of the China visa application center in Lisbon. Once it reopens, there should be notice on the net.

Apply in another EU country

I am a german citizen who work in Portugal. Is it possible to get in Portugal a Visa for China or must i apply in Germany?

Currently not, but once China restarted to issue visas, you can apply for it through the China Visa Application Service Center in Germany.

Hi,

I'm going to China early next year and need a visa - can I come to the Lisbon office rather than flying back to the uk?

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, you can go to the CVASC in Lisbon to apply. You need to make an appointment on the website of the CVASC. You can enter the "quick entrance" on the homepage and click "online appointment" to schedule the appointment.

My husband and I are American citizens in Portugal. Can we get visas to China while in Portugal.

We are going on a cruise to China in Jan 2020 and need to get visas. Can we do that at the embassy in Lisbon?

Yes, it's possible, but you need to get it from the China Via Application Service Center in Lisbon.
