When is the Best Time to Travel Oman?
Oman is a hot country in terms of climate. It is hot and humid during the summer time, so it will be uncomfortable to travel during this period. However, the winter time from November to March, with the average temperature of 24℃ (75℉), is the best time to travel around. During the winter months, you can comfortably enjoy all the sights in Oman. If you are visiting the Ras al Jinz, then the best time is during the months of September to November when you can see the turtles lying around.

Is It Ok to Drink Alcohol in Public?
No. Please do not drink alcohol in public places. This is strictly against the law. Alcohol is bought and sold only against a permit. You cannot buy alcohol in supermarkets or shops, but most hotels have an alcohol license and alcoholic beverages can be ordered as usual. At duty free shops, alcohol is limited to one bottle per person.
Do I Have Internet and Mobile Phone Network in Oman?
The Omani network is very well developed. With the exception of some mountain wadis and desert areas, you will have coverage everywhere and also internet works well. If you plan to use the internet intensively, you may consider to purchase a SIM card from "Omantel" or "Ooredoo" when you arrive at the airport. The SIM cards can be easily charged with credit at all petrol stations and most shops.
