If he was in China, he can offer you a invitation letter and you just need to fill in an application form on line through cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn and make an appointment. Prepare all the required documents including the invitation letter, application form completed, valid passport, and an eligible photo to apply for your visa in China Visa Application Service Center in person.

My Q2 Visa was valid until March 2024. Can I still use it to travel to Guangzhou in May?
Hi, can you please advise if the Visa that I have applied in Guangzhou before COVID19 still can be used to travel into China? The Q2 Visa will be expired in March 2024 and should be valid but I heard that it was cancelled and no longer valid to be used to travel. I need a formal confirmation so I can use it to travel to Guangzhou. please help.

Have applied this Q2 Visa in 2018 and never been used, so appreciated if you can confirm if Chinese Custom still accept this Visa.

Macau proof of life for senior citizens
I'm a Macau senior citizen born in Portugal.
I need to present the proof of life in January each year in order to continue receiving the annual pension.
As for the time being overseas travel is not possible, please inform when can I go the China consulate in Melbourne to obtain the ''Verification Form of Pension Eligibility of People Living Abroad'' issued by China consulates: What documents do I need to present at that time?
Thanking in advance,
Jose Pais
