Work Permit Notification for China - where do I process the paperwork in Tokyo?
I am Canadian. I got a job at an international school in Dalian, China.
Where in Tokyo do I process my documents for my Work Permit Notification? At the Chinese Embassy in Azabu? At the Consulate in Takanawa? Another location?

Sorry, but I'm not very clear what paperwork you are talking about. Usually, the employers help their employees get the work permit notification. Of course, you need to provide supporting documents.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it. My employer doesn't know if it's the embassy or if it's the consulate in Tokyo for processing my Work Permit Notification,

Visa application time
Hello. I am going to apply for visa. I chose to apply at 16.15 as it was in the time-table while I was making an appointment. But then I noticed that the application time is from 9 o'clock till 3 o'clock. Will I be able to apply for visa in according with my appointment time?

It should not be a problem to lodge the application at the appointed time. But to avoid any inconvenience, it is suggested to contact the visa service center for confirmation.

It usually takes 4 working days.
You should be given a receipt after submitting the requirements, which tells the time to collect the visa. Do you have it?

Yes, I have it. It was written TBD for collecting date(I submitted the documents in May11th). I applied for express service.
And I received a call from the visa center once in May 25th to say they still haven't received anything from the embassy yet. And since then no contact and it's very hard to get through to the Chinese visa center in Tokyo. Although in their website they have updated that I can get my passport back in May29th, but when I visited them they said(Visa center) they still haven't received any response from the embassy yet again.
I would like to recall for my passport as it's already nearing 2 months since submission for this July 11th. And I'm very disappointed in the services I have received so far, as this caused an impact at my workplace, as I had to cancel on the overseas trip and it's frustrating not being able to connect through to any related officials and not knowing what's happening and what's causing the delay.
I would be very grateful if you can guide me to know about the progression and how to get my official documents(passport etc) back?

According to recent feedbacks, the embassy is very busy because there are too many applications. Maybe you can contact the embassy directly to see how is your application going on.
