If you go to China for business or work and can get an invitation, you can try to apply for a work visa.

International tourism in China 2021
I am a US citizen and permanent resident of Indonesia. I hold a valid 10 year (2018-2028) Chinese visa (K9826574) issued in Jakarta in 2018. I would like to visit China in Oct 2021. Can you tell me if international visitors will allowed to enter China at that time? Thank you.

Well, even if you fly to Indonesia, I cannot guarantee that you will surely get a Chinese visa there. Anyway, you will need the documents including your passport, application form, recent photo, a PU or TE invitation letter and proof justifying your entry to China.

I'm afraid not. You had better do the visa in Ethiopia before flying to Bali.
