If there's one thing the Drummond boys have in common, it's their love for football. Ree's youngest son, Todd, followed in his older brother Bryce's footsteps when he took over as the starting quarterback for their high school this past year. And Todd sure showed up, too! Over 4300+ passing yards and 59 passing touchdowns later, it's clear that the youngest Drummond sibling has more than proved his worth on the field.
Now, all his hard work is finally paying off. In an Instagram post on Monday, Todd announced to the world that he has officially committed to play football for the University of South Dakota! 🎉
"Oh yeah, this feels right!" Todd captioned the post.
Family and friends rushed to the comments to express how proud they were.
"I’m about to take so many road trips to South Dakota 🥺🥺," his sister Alex wrote.
"YES TODDY!!! Hard work pays off! 🤞🏼🤍," his other sister Paige followed.
And the Pioneer Woman herself commented that she was "SO EXCITED!!!!! 🏈!!!!"
Ree has always been so proud of Todd's accomplishments on (and off) the football field. Back in December, she posted photos of highlights from her son's football career with the most heartfelt caption.
After raving about his talent and hard work, she noted that she was "not sharing that to brag, but instead to illustrate the heart this kid has for football, and the dedication he’s shown every single day (and especially Friday nights) this fall. I couldn’t be prouder of my youngest kid. 😭 Love you Todd, and can’t wait for next season!!"
Todd, we are so excited for you, and can't wait to follow the rest of your journey! Here's to finishing your senior year of high school strong!
We can already picture Ree sending Todd off to college like only she can do. Remember when she got Bryce's kitchen all set up in his college apartment? Or the day that was full of tears when she dropped Paige off? Who knows what drop-off day will hold for Todd, but we will definitely be watching and waiting!
