Day 1 Arrive in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing! After meeting the guide at the airport, you will be escorted to the hotel for check-in. The rest day is your free time, so you can enjoy a good rest to adjust to the jet lag. As for dinner, you can have it in the hotel or the nearby restaurants.
Day 2 Beijing
Hope you have a good sleep last night. Your China family holiday will start from today. First, the guide will accompany you to visit the Tiananmen Square and the first world cultural heritage site, the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City is one of the world's largest and best-preserved ancient wooden architecture complexes. As the royal palaces of Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911), it is divided into inner court and outer court for living and holding grand ceremonies separately. The lunch today is a la carte for you to enjoy authentic Chinese food. If you like meat, Peking Roast Duck is unmissable.

In the afternoon, we will enjoy a Hutong tour by rickshaw and pay a visit to a local family there. You can also experience facial painting in Peking Opera. Facial Painting is a kind of exaggerated make-up with various colors and patterns to show the personalities of different figures. The next stop is Nanluoguxiang, where there are various shops selling snacks and art wares. In the end, the guide will transfer you back to the hotel. If you are still energetic, you can ask the guide to arrange you an optional show in the evening. Chinese Kungfu and acrobatics are both appealing for kids.

Then enjoy a 2-hour hiking tour on the Great Wall. Finally, take the cable car to go downhill and return to the downtown area. You can also choose chairlift or cableway. Day 4 Beijing to Xi'an by High Speed Train
The last stop in Beijing is Summer Palace, a large imperial garden in Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) which is mainly composed of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. On the northeastern bank of Kunming Lake and backed by Longevity Hill, Hall of Joyful Longevity is known for the residence of Empress Dowager Cixi in her old age. She lived in the Summer Palace for five to ten months every year, and led a lavish life here. It’s said that 150,000 jin (165,347 lb) of apples was served to Empress Dowager Cixi just for enjoying the fragrance every year, as she liked the fruity odor very much. She took more than 100 towels every time she bathed, and 108 dishes to eat at a meal. Only one table of dishes she would taste, while the other two tables were never touched. Following our guide, you can see the extravagant hall with many decorations that trespassed upon the power of the emperor.

After the tour there, you will be sent to the high speed train station and head to Xi'an. The journey is about 4.5 - 6 hours. After arrival, the guide in Xi'an will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.

After going back to the downtown, you will visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda - the most ancient and largest rectangular brick pagoda in China. First built in Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), it was used to store the Buddhist statues, relics and sutras brought from India by Monk Xuanzang.
