Chinese Food Tours

Are you a gastronome? Are you willing to try every fine dish that you come across? On a gourmet safari with us, you will enjoy our specially arranged a la carte meals at some famous local restaurants where you will taste authentic Chinese food from Sichuan Cuisine, Cantonese Cuisine to Shanghai Cuisine.

A La Carte Chinese Food - Escape Junk Tourist Food

TravelChinaGuide is honored to be the first agency to offer a la carte meals for its valued clients during their trip to China. It offers you a great deal of freedom: select the menu items as you wish!

As a large and reliable travel agency, we recognize the importance of taking the utmost care with food selection on our tours. Everyone has individual preferences, so we do not believe that set-menus can cater to all tastes. Another consideration is that mass-produced dishes provided in the appointed restaurants used by some tour operators fails to offer a chance to experience genuine Chinese food. We are eager to introduce you to the very best Chinese food around and believe that you will be happier to be able to make a choice from a varied menu, an arrangement that will doubtlessly give you a great opportunity to experience authentic Chinese Cuisine. In particular it will ensure satisfaction if you happen to be a vegetarian.

A La Carte Meal in a Quality Restaurant
We have included A La Carte meals in the tours we arrange and you are assured that these will be at excellent local restaurants. We try our best to avoid “eating for eating’s sake” and take it as one of the best opportunities to please our valued clients, so all the meals we arrange for you will be diverse, delicious, appetizing and memorable. You will enjoy them amongst local Chinese people. Learning how they use chopsticks, how they cook and enjoy their meals will be quite an experience during your visit. We are sure that by the end of your trip you will have become a passionate devotee of real Chinese cuisine.

Most agencies in China now are still arranging the meals at the cheap tourist eateries and shopping site restaurants, without considering their clients’ dietetic requirements. In shopping site restaurants, after you have lunch or dinner, you still need to stay for another 40 minutes in the shopping area of the restaurant, so that agencies could get some commission from the store. It is a waste of time and also influences your trip a little bit. While, to dine in our a la carte restaurants, after finishing the meal you could go on your trip without any delay. Besides, our a la carte meal cost ranging from CNY100.00 to CNY150.00 per person is usually at least 3 to 4 times higher than that of the meals arranged by other agencies ranging from CNY25.00 to CNY 50.00 per person. If some of the agencies say that they are offering the same standard meal with us or even higher than us, you may ask them whether they could deduct the amount of the meal cost for you as we do if you do not want that meal. It seems you pay a little bit higher for a la carte meals, but concerning the quality, diversity and dining environment, you will find it is worthy every of your cent.

A La Carte Menus

Following is the photo galleries of our a la carte menus in each city. Obviously you may find that dishes with similar names are very different in China from the Chinatown in your own country, and generally the prices in China are at least 5 times lower than those you pay back home: greens are at least 7 to 8 times less, meat 3 to 5 times less and seafood is basically the same. Clients are welcome to order dishes they would like before the tour commences or they may order a la carte during the tour. Our menus are designed to make the ordering process easy and leisurely!

As a nation that pays great attention to courtesy, our cuisine culture is deep rooted in China's history. No one can doubt that we have a rich heritage of fine dishes, but the most influential and widely known styles are the Cantonese, Sichuan and Shanghai cuisines. Hangzhou: I remember there is a Tiandu Indian restaurant at No. 77, Nanshan Road. But I am not sure whether it still exits.

Guangzhou: it is easier to find such food in the city. I recommend Vastu Indian Restaurant to you. It is located at no. 475, Huangshi Road, yuexiu District.

As for Yiwu, Shiwadi Indian Restaurant is suggested. It is located at No. 342, Chengbei Road.

I have lived in China for almost three years. I'm afraid it is a little difficult to find a pure such restaurant, but you can still find such food at some Halal Restaurants.
