American on holiday Budapest needing business visa to China
I am an American on holiday in Budapest and I need to travel for work to China on July 21st. I can’t get my Visa in the US as II will be flying home to the US on July 20th – one day before I plan to travel to China. Is it possible to get this Visa from the Chinese Embassy in Budapest, even though I am flying to China from the US?

It's somehow difficult if you are only a tourist in Hungary without a resident permit of that country.

Maybe you can fly this way: Budapest - China - US to be eligible for the 144-hour visa free transit. But you should know that you can only stay in one transit area in this case and can stay for up to 144 hours only.

Business trip - 2 times/multiple
Hello, our group will travel on 14th of October from Budapest to Hongkong (15 people). The hotel will be in Shenzen. The program is: 1st day Shenzen, 2nd day Hongkong, 3rd day Macao, 4th day Shenzen, 5th day Honkong and travel back with plane. Thatswhy I asked for a multiple business M for them but we got 2 times entry business M, valid for 30 days/entry. Is is a problem for us? Because the hotel will be in Shenzen so I calculated we need multiple visa.

Hi, in your trip, the double entries visa will be fine. Don't worry about that too much.

Hi, if you are told to apply in Sofia/Bulgaria by the consular officers, you are advised to do that in there.

Hi, as I know, you don't have to show health insurance and bank account for the application of tourist L type. Just for reference.

It is a new regulation (from March 2018), you have to present a valid health insurance for your whole stay in China. If you are a student, you have to prove a bank account with minimum 100 USD / day of your stay in China.
This is a new regulation at the Budapest Embassy.

apply for visa in Budapest
Good afternoon,
I am from Kazakhstan. Currently, I am studying in University of Debrecen,Hungary. I want to visit China as a tourist to my sister. I have a residence permit in Hungary. May I apply for visa in Chinese Embassy in Budapest? Because, it is almost impossible for me to go back to Kazakhstan to apply for entry permit. If it is possible, what types of documents I should collect and how long I should wait?
Thank you

Hi, it's possible for you to apply for visa in Chinese Embassy in Budapest, and you need to prepare your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, and a passport-style photo, your residence permit in there, round trip air tickets, and hotel booking record or an invitation letter from your sister. It may take four working days for the processing.
