Student visa: I'm a Belgian citizen and I have been accepted in an university in China.
Hi,
I'm a Belgian citizen and I have been accepted in an university in China From 1th September.
I know I will need to have the quarantine when I arrive there so I should take the plane on half of August.
I'm not vaccinated because the vaccination system in Belgium is slow.
First question: when will the student visa be open?
Second question : can I already buy a flight ticket? ( with change date and cancelation system if I need to change the date or cancel it because of the situation)

The student visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, so you can start the application procedure right now as you need to arrive here as late as in middle August. Yes, you can start to keep an eye on the flight ticket and get prepared to buy it.

The China visa application service center is temporarily closed. You may contact them for the application issues at: brusselscentervisaforchina.org.

Can I return to China
Hello,
my wife and me (Belgians) are residing in Foshan, Guangdong
We have a residence permit issued on 2020.07.22 Valid until 2021.09.04
We had 1 shot already of Sinovac and the second is planned for mid May
We want to fly to Belgium beginning of July and come back in August.
Is this possible and do I have to go to the consulate and apply for a visa or anything else?

What kind of resident permit are you holding? Currently, foreigners holding Chinese residence permits for work, private affairs, or reunion are allowed to enter China.

If you got the residence permit after November 2020 and you have received the vaccination produced by China, you will be able to return to China.

If you have valid visa for China, you can re-enter China provided you will pass the Covid-tests and get the health code before leaving Belgium.

Yes, you need to fill in the application form and take a few passport style photos. The application form can be downloaded from the website of the HK Immigration Department.
