Welcome to the capital of China - Beijing! Your guide has been waiting for you at the airport and expecting to meet you. After picking you up, the guide will lead you to the parking lot and escort you to the hotel with the driver. Then he or she will help you with check-in. In the following free time of the day, you can spend at leisure on your own.

After breakfast, our China family vacation packages will start with the world's largest city square - Tiananmen Square. Then walk to the Forbidden City for a visit. Renowned as Top 1 of the Four Great Palaces in the World, Forbidden City is one of the world's largest and best-preserved ancient wooden architectures. As the imperial palace in Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911), it covers an area of 72 hectares (178 acres) with more than 70 palaces and over 9,000 rooms. Besides, you can also see the abundant cultural relics there, including the paintings, ceramics, bronze wares, jade, clocks and so on. The lunch is an a la carte and you can taste the authentic Chinese dishes. The restaurant we choose for you also offers the delicious roasted dusk. If you want to have a try, please inform your guide to make a reservation in advance.

In the afternoon, we will take the rickshaw to go sightseeing in the hutongs. Also, we will visit a Beijing courtyard there and experience paper cutting, a traditional Chinese folk art. It is a kind of auspicious patterns used widely as decoration in Chinese people's daily life. You will see how to make it with only paper and scissors or gravers. Afterwards, proceed to the well-known snack street Nanluoguxiang. You can taste some unique local snacks under the recommendation of the guide. The cost will be paid by yourself. Ice-sugar Gourd is the favorite of old Beijingers. The sweet and sour taste is also deeply loved by children. How about buying one for your kid? After the tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

In the morning, we will go to visit the Temple of Heaven. The emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties offered sacrifices to the God of Heaven here. In 1998, it is listed as world cultural heritage site. Also as a public for the locals, Temple of Heaven has gathered many Tai Chi enthusiasts. You can join in them and feel the magic of Tai Chi.

After that we will head to Mutianyu Great Wall. A round-trip cable car ride has been arranged for you. Chairlift for ascending and Toboggan for descending are also available. So you can enjoy a leisure hiking time on the Great Wall. What about starting a competition among the families to see who will reach the highest place first? You will also see small drainage grooves across the great wall at intervals, as an end extends to the outer side of the parapet wall. On rainy days, the water would flow along the grooves and be drained away via the mouths of barrel drains outstretched the wall. Thus, the great wall has not been eroded by rains for thousands of years.

The only scenic area we will visit today is the Summer Palace. It is the best-preserved royal garden in China. It has integrated the design techniques of classic garden in south China. In the afternoon, the guide will transfer you to take the high speed train to Xi'an, the next destination of your China family vacation packages. After arrival, the local guide in Xi'an will pick you up and lead you to the hotel for check-in.

Today, we will head to the Terracotta Warrior Museum to appreciate the majestic life-sized underground army of Emperor Qinshihuang. There are three pits and Bronze Chariots and Horses Exhibition Hall waiting for you to explore. Pit 1 is the largest, Pit 2 is the essence gathering the most diverse warriors and Pit 3 is the commanding center of the whole army. Followed by is Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a square brick pagoda built to store Buddhism scripts brought from ancient India. Here, you will have an experience to wear the traditional clothes of Han Nationality to stroll around. It's an interesting way to experience traditional Chinese culture. Remember to take some photos.

The first stop of today's tour is City Wall. We will tour it by bike or battery car. Afterwards, head to a supermarket to learn about the locals' life. Then pay a visit to the Great Mosque and explore the local snacks for our lunch at the nearby Muslim Bazaar. After lunch, the guide will transfer you to the airport for a flight to Guilin. The guide in Guilin will be waiting for you at the airport and then escort you to the carefully-chosen hotel.

Li River is the essence of our China family vacation in Guilin. You will marvel at the splendid landscape along the way. In the early morning, you will be picked up from the hotel and led to the wharf. Then the guide will accompany you to enjoy a Li River cruise to Yangshuo while the driver will take your luggage to the wharf in Yangshuo and wait for you there. After about 4 hours, we will  meet our driver at Yangshuo and then go sightseeing the rural scenery by vehicle. The lunch is the simple Chinese box meal on the cruise.

Today, you can enjoy a free day. There are abundant activities you can take part in, such as drifting, rock climbing, learning calligraphy, painting or Tai Chi. If you are interested in it, consult your guide in advance.

In the morning, we will drive back to Guilin and tour Reed Flute Cave. In the 240-meter-deep (787-feet-deep) karst cave, it is scattered with many white stalagmites, stone pillars, stone flowers, etc. Also, there are 77 mural paintings of different dynasties. Then, the guide will escort you to the airport for the flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will meet your Shanghai guide at the exit and head to the hotel then.

In the China family vacation in Shanghai, we will first go to the city landmark Shanghai Tower. It is the highest building in China with 132 floors in total. Standing on the Top of Shanghai Observatory, you can overlook the city. The next stop is Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. With the theme of City, People, Environment and Development, it shows that how did the city develop into a modern metropolis from a small fishing village. The lunch is a la carte, so you can taste the dishes according to your interest.

In the afternoon, follow the guide to Yu Garden. In this classic Chinese garden, you will see about 40 ancient architectures including the Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, Jade Rock, etc. Also, the orderly arranged ancient plants have shown the artistic style of gardens in Ming and Qing Dynasties. And thousands of cultural relics are exhibited there covering calligraphies, paintings, furniture, ceramics and so on. Finally, we are going to the Bund to see the architecture complex in completely different western styles and take a walk along Huangpu River.
